Hello Fotis, It is Easter Sunday and much has happened since we last saw you. Our cruise continued and was much enjoyed-Nazareth and Jerusalem were obvious highlights but we were surprised by how much we also enjoyed Rhodes and Chania. One week ago today we visited Herculaneum near Naples and found that historically fascinating. Thank you so much for arranging our trip to Corinth, Mycenae, and Nafplio. As you know we thoroughly enjoyed it and have already told many people at home about it and how you organized it for us. We will shortly, perhaps later today, write an entry on Trip Adviser to bring your business to a wider audience. I am sorry to read that there is still economic trouble leading to trouble in the streets. We were very fortunate that you took us to Athens on a Sunday when it was quiet and we could enjoy the changing of the guard in the same streets as the demonstrations. We also appreciated our trip to the Jewish Museum and were sorry to learn that there was some vandalism some time later.

Thanks for a great day with our friends Kay & Noel on Rhodes on 25th November. We really enjoyed our tour through the streets of the old city and the drive to Lindos and seeing the villages and countryside along the way. We also loved our "local" lunch which you got for us. Fotis: I have been meaning to send you a note to say thanks so much for the day you spent with Glenn & I and our friends Brad & Carolyn. We all ranked it as one of our favourite of the trip. You did truly make us feel like part of your family!! As you asked, I've attached a picture of the 5 of us so that you can visualize who we are. I'll always remember this photo as the one that was taken by the other guide who dropped Carolyn's camera. We all joked that he should stick to his day job. Anyway, I also wanted to mention that I have been speaking with my girlfriend, Carmela Cacciatore, who is touring with you when she and her family come in July. I've told her how much fun we had as well as the great restaurant that you took us to. She is leaving July 12 from Toronto and is going on the exact same cruise that we were on. Hi Fotis I promised to email you on our return and here I am! Thank you for rescuing us in Athens and returning us to our hotel and for the brilliant trip to Delphi. It is a unique place and we shall remember it for many years. You were able to make it special by your knowledge and consideration for us - very different from a package tour! I am sure we would also have enjoyed a visit to Corinth but we were rather tired after our previous travel and we met a number of friends at our conference at the hotel. We never got to see inside the Acropolis due to their continued strike, but we did enjoy a further walk round the national gardens. If we have another break in Athens, we would hope to catch up on what we missed and also contact you for a further tour. If we hear that any friends are planning to visit Athens, we will tell them about you! I do hope that the unrest in Greece is now dying down and that you can have a period of calm repair to the economy as well as the fabric of Athens. It is crazy to be so destructive, even if one doesn't like the present set-up. I just hope that they will learn and join in the rebuilding. Sorry I took so long to write but things are pretty hectic here. Kari is working at a cosmetic lab in New York and waiting to hear if she got into medical school and Anika is still in middle school and excited about going to high school in the fall. Me, I am just working hard and wishing I could come back to Greece. I really had a wonderful time - thanks to you for your patience and good sense of humor. I really enjoyed our conversations.

I received an email from a lady whose daughter is visiting Greece soon and she wanted me to recommend hotels. I can only tell her about the one where we stayed and the web site we used. Can you recommend others? I think she will be contacting you or maybe she has already. I will forward you a copy of her email.

We bicycled in Sicily in May and will be going to Brussels next April to bicycle. Biked Berlin to Prauge last fall. Couldn't get our granddaughter to come to Greece like her brother Travis. Instead, we took her to Costa Rica in March.
