History

The second most remarkable monastic center in Greece. This monument is protected by unescoand belongs to the world heritage list. There are 24 monasteries which of are open only the six.every day a lot of people are going there from all over the world to pray. They have the opportunity to experience the life of the monks, to admire the landscape, iconography and the invaluable heirlooms. In front of the rocks you can see the town of kalambaka and small village, kastraki.
